WOODSIDE PRIORY SCHOOL BENEDICTINE CLASSROOM
The Benedictine Phase of the Woodside Priory School project included construction of a new classroom building, faculty building, and site improvements to the existing Benedictine Square.
The building was designed to a high standard of sustainability in regards to lighting, heating, cooling and ventilation systems. With the addition of a photovoltaic installation on the south-west oriented roof surface, the building will have near zero or negative carbon footprint over time.
An existing faculty building in the square was demolished, and the exterior redwood siding was salvaged and re-used on the new faculty building as a tribute to the history of the Woodside Priory School campus.
The project was completed in time for the Fall 2015 semester to start, and cost 30% less than the original construction budget.
