Sequoyah Community Church retained the services of Goring & Straja to create an updated master plan. In addition to site and facility improvements, a large and open two-story skylighted entry hall will be built along the existing church building’s east-west axis . The hall’s ground floor will include a family room, three group rooms, and  a cafeteria with direct access to outdoor green space. The second floor will house a  conference room and staff offices.

Outside, square footage will be added to the existing terrace located on the building’s east side. To reduce sound intrusion from the freeway below, the terrace will be enclosed with a glass sound wall, that allows the church to maintain its visibility.
